What you need to know

A minimum of 2 guests are needed for tour to occur.
Each of the Scottsdale Segway Tours begins with 15-25 minutes of orientation and training.
Must be 12 years of age or older to operate a Segway. Riders under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign liability form.
Must have motor skills and reflexes comparable to walking up stairs without needing the handle for assistance.
Riders should be between 4’11” and 6’6″ tall and weigh between 90 and 275 pounds.
Not recommended for those with medical conditions, injuries, motor skill impairments, disabilities or those that weigh under 80 pounds.
Each Rider will receive a headset so they can hear the guide.
Dress comfortably in light, breathable material. Avoid extremely loose or baggy clothing. You will be moving at 12 mph so be sure to check the weather and wear layers when necessary. Closed-toe, flat shoes or sneakers are required. NO flip-flops, sandals, open-toe shoes, heels, wedges or platforms. Sneakers are best. Skechers shape-ups and similar type toning shoes are not allowed. For safety reasons, you will not be allowed to ride if you do not have appropriate footwear.
Scottsdale Segway Tours will refuse service to anyone who is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol, banned substances or prescription medications that warn against equipment operation.

What you need to know

Daytime Admission Zoo Tickets are good for one (1) single general admission to the Zoo.
Same Day re-entry is permitted.
We have more than 3,000 animals on exhibit, including mammals, fish, invertebrates, birds and reptiles.
The Zoo includes approximately 2.5 miles of walking paths and is divided into four different trails – Arizona, Africa, Tropics and Children’s.
- Usually the Africa and Tropics Trails take about an hour each and the Arizona and Children’s Trails take about a half hour each.
- We recommend approximately three hours to see the entire Zoo, depending on the size and ages of your group and how fast you walk. Because we create exhibits that replicate the animals’ natural habitats, some animals can be difficult to see and visitors may be required to spend more time in observation.
Food prepared for you by Zoo concessions or brought into the Zoo is yours to enjoy, but do not share with any of the animals, including free-roaming birds, squirrels, etc.
Remember, you’ll be spending the day outside! We advise that guests bring plenty of sunscreen, cold water and a hat or umbrella. Water fountains are available throughout the Zoo and water is also available for purchase at any Zoo concessions stand.
Consider bringing swimsuits or water-safe clothing for your small child, so they can enjoy splashing around in Yakulla Caverns or Leapin’ Lagoon!

Detours American West: Apache Trail Tour

Arizona’s first designated “Historic Highway” and a scenic byway, the original Apache Trail was a footpath by which the local Apache Tribe traveled through. During your tour, you will enjoy a steamboat cruise on Canyon Lake by the famous Dolly Steamboat. - Minimum age of 5 years old and 48 inches tall
- No pregnancies at the time of flight
- No broken bones or recent surgery at the time of flight
- Passengers must be able to stand for the duration of the flight (approximately 60 mins)
- Passengers should be able to jump off the second step of a ladder
- Must be in good general health
- A signed waiver of liability is required for all guests flying and/or riding in our vehicles
There are no passenger weight restrictions for any of our tours, however we do collect passenger weights at the time of booking, to ensure a safe and comfortable time up, up and away.
Comfortable casual clothing is always recommended on our ballooning excursions, as we are enjoying nature in a desert environment.
