Rock Dimensions: Half – Day Climbing

Rock Dimensions guided rock-climbing top-roping programs focus on the skills and unique experience of climbing outdoors on real rock cliffs. Participants will learn necessary safety skills for an outdoor environment, along with terminology, climbing movement, and useful knots. Rock Dimensions trips are fun and engaging, providing a unique and exciting challenge for individuals of all skill levels.

What you need to know
  • Trips offered in the NC Mountains near Boone, NC.
  • The trip will last 3-4 hours, depending on location.
  • Rock Dimensions operates under a Special Use Permit issued by the U.S. Forest Service for guiding in Pisgah National Forest.
  • Maximum of 10-12 participants, depending on location. Group sizes are limited due to environmental impact concerns and government restrictions, and to allow for maximum participation.
  • What to expect:
    • Instruction in knots, harnesses, communication, belaying and climbing movement.
    • Top-rope climbing on routes ranging from beginner to intermediate.
    • Belaying and backup belaying, depending on age of participants and group size.
    • Rappelling on a vertical face.

    • Harnesses, Helmets, Ropes, Belay and Rappel devices, Anchoring equipment.
    • Experienced climbing guides and instructors.
